Meet the therapist behind Rooted Way Counseling.

As a counselor providing psychotherapy, the primary tool I bring to sessions is myself—my personhood, personality, humanity, and my very soul. When a client enters the therapy space, they bring their own self with them, as well. I believe that growth, healing, and change all happen as we deepen our relationships with and understanding of ourselves and others around us. In therapy, this happens when I bring my authentic “self” to the session, and clients bring their authentic “selves.” It forms the basis of the therapy process. I work together with my clients to explore the problems that have brought them to therapy, not as an “expert,” but rather as a “co-journeyer,” and I work to bear witness and create space in sessions for this exploration to happen in a way that allows clients to feel safe and understood. This is important, because it is only once clients feel safe and understood that the change begins to happen! My clients have overcome anxiety, and experienced joy and satisfaction in life. They’ve found peace and healing from trauma, and have achieved healthy and fulfilling relationships with others and with themselves. They’ve become more confident in advocating for themselves, and have experienced what it is to deeply and truly love themselves for who they are at their core.
